Single Page Kit Theme Albums

One of the advantages of digital scrapbooking is the ability to use a page kit over and over again. Unlike in traditional scrapbooking, you can reproduce the kit an infinite number of times with a click of a button and without any added cost to your initial investment. This factor makes digital scrapbooking the perfect medium for creating a theme album.

What kind of theme album you ask? Vacations are always popular as are scrapping entire weddings or birthday parties. The beauty of using the same page kit for a theme album is that all the papers, mattes, and embellishments already are color-coordinated for you. This coordination makes constructing a theme album simpler than having to select items from scratch for every layout, especially if you are scrapping something as extensive as a vacation or a wedding with a large number of photos. Remember, just because all the pictures in your album are of the same event and use the same page kit does not mean that all the pages have to look identical.

Look at the following five layouts. They were all constructed using the same page kit, mixing and matching the elements to create layouts that fit the subject of each set of photos.

These two layouts used the same coordinating background paper and stone brads.

Now, using the same background paper but different mattes and embellishments, I created this layout.

Using other parts of the page kit, I created these two layouts. They are very different from the first two; yet, all the colors still match.

Constructing the entire album from this page kit was quick and easy, and the result was a very classy looking vacation theme album.

Now, if you want to go really quick and easy, you can construct an entire album using not only the same page kit, but the same page as well! This style is popular for wedding, school, and holiday pictures.

You can see that this page is very simple, and, instead of drawing attention to the embellishments, it focuses on the photograph. You can use a background paper that matches the colors selected for the wedding and a single embellishment for an extraordinarily sophisticated-looking album.

As you can see, theme albums are an easy, great way to showcase a large number of pictures. By selecting a single page kit to use over and over, you can cut down on the amount of time, effort, and money that it would take to normally create one.

Cheers!
