Numbers!

Larolin Weisinger - Scrapping Deck Crewmember

Florida provides the opportunity to do any "number" of things via air, water or land. If you want to go to the moon, most likely you would leave from Florida's Cape Canaveral. The ocean and/or Gulf of Mexico are accessible from almost anywhere in the state, and if land is your preference (or people watching) you will find the sun soaked beaches of Florida to be unlike any other.

Florida is famous for its citrus fruits, alligators (who, once endangered, have made a comeback in recent years) and, of course, a mouse named "Mickey." Florida is one of the world's strongest tourist magnets despite its infamous hurricanes and tropical weather.

Florida is divided into three major regions; comprising the Florida Keys, to the Everglades, and the Panhandle with its beautiful white beaches. Nicknamed "The Sunshine State," Florida's monthly average temperatures range from a high of 91 degrees to a low of 40 degrees; reflecting once again the diversity of the state and its three distinct regions.

This first layout is an example of using numbered pattern paper to set the background for these adorable cheerleaders - who just happen to be my granddaughters -- and they live in Florida! Hooray for their team!!

The second layout using numbers as part of the layout is done with the numbers as the main embellishment; 1-2-3 let's go-fast!

Another way to use numbers in a layout is in the title as well as accenting a couple of other places in the layout with numbers as shown here for Jalen's birthday.

And finally, these last two pages are done using large and bold numbers as the main focus - you cannot miss which New Year's celebration is being scrapbooked.

No matter the "number" of times you visit Florida, there is always something new to see. Visit our site often; we are "counting" on it! Until next month, please share your layouts in our Reader's Gallery -- I look forward to seeing you next month.

Editors note: This is Larolin's last feature with SSR. Larolin is part owner of Paper Dillies and it has sky rocketed and can no longer commit to the time involved in keeping up with SSR as well as her new venture with Kelli. We will miss Larolin a lot, she hasn't been with us for very long but we have really enjoyed having Larolin with us.
