October 1, 2007 From the Helm - Welcome to SSR!Cap'n Dawn Heath,Publisher ![]() We're BACK! Yes...we are back in Great Britain...my other home. England is where I was born, my husband was born and my oldest son. I have spent most of my life travelling back and forth between England and the United States. I'm now a United States citizen and I'm very proud of that! But, you can't take England out of a person just because they call another part of the world home now. Quite a few of my family still live in England...as well as Germany, Spain, Australia, Canada and the USA! I guess we all seem to have wanderlust in us! It must explain the whole cruise around the world concept of SSR to you now huh? It's in my blood. ![]() Photo taken by Dave Stewart of http://www.davestewartphotography.co.uk/ Click on the photos to see a very special gallery of photos! As we spend this beautiful fall month in Great Britain it will be a fabulous time to explore the Victorian era. We were so excited about this that we have decided that this month we will celebrate our very first "themed" issue so the crew have tried to create an all Victorian themed issue with thier designs! Now, I can guarantee that not all the designs are Victorian themed as it just wasn't practical with their scheduled subject for October. But, if it was possible it was done. I hope you enjoy this!! I'd just love to see what you create as you are inspired by this very special issue!! ![]() Photo taken by Dave Stewart of http://www.davestewartphotography.co.uk/ Click on the photos to see a very special gallery of photos! I have a very special surprise for you that I'm so excited about! I'm very proud to introduce to you my brother in law, Dave Stewart! Dave is a professional photographer living in England and he is sharing all these photos with you that he has taken! Click on the photos to see a very special gallery of photos! School is now in full swing. At my house, we are starting to adjust to our new schedules. I loved taking my camera to up to the school to take pictures not only of my boys on their first days of school, but also the children in my own classroom. So, I was thrilled to look at the layouts that were submitted to the Readers’ Gallery Contest. We have wonderful layout of students and teachers. Take a look!
