The S.S. Reflections virtual cruise ship has arrived in Greenland! As I was researching the enormous country I was struck by how beautiful it was. Every photo I found representing Greenland was as beautiful as the one before. This is such a picturesque country! Did you know that Greenland is the Worlds largest island? Greenland is the largest island in the World. Australia is larger but is considered to be a continent. I read a quote as I was researching and it was so eloquent, I thought it would be best to share it as it is...

"Greenland is simply different - it's unique. Greenland is dramatic and fragile at the same time. From all the photos that I've come across I thought the same thing. It just looks like such a beautiful place to find peace. I hope you enjoy our time in the enormous island and that you learn as much as I have! Welcome to this very special issue of S.S. Reflections...
This issue marks the 3rd Anniversary of the launch of SSR! We have a very special friend as our Celebrity Headliner this month. Dee and Warren have been with us since the very beginning and are special friends to me personally and SSR completely. It was very fitting that Dee and Warren join us for this very special cruise to Greenland!

We have lots to tell you about this month! We have two new crewmembers to introduce to you!! I'm thrilled to introduce to you our special guest designer this month too! Of course, it goes without saying how fabulous our designers are...but they have once again out done themselves with this months special Anniversary issue!
Editorial Deck:
On our Editorial Deck this month we have a special guest designer with several fabulous projects to share with you in the Stateroom. I'm excited to share the special designs of Cindy Seabright! You can see one of Cindy's projects to the right! Our monthly Caption Contest is back on track! Jill is back!! We are so happy to have our dear friend Jill back with us and thankful for all the answers to prayer she has received during this frightening time. Just wait until you read what Becky is adding to her layouts now!! Cindi returned from her funky family vacation and is getting the funk down with us! So, get our your dancing shoes and lets get funky! Jill has found a whole new way to use those tiresome CD cases! These are just fabulous ideas for Christmas gifts and the best part is...you still have plenty of time to create them as presents!! Marilyn is starting the holiday season off early but how early is it? We are already seeing Christmas commercials on television! Marilyn is beginning the season by encouraging you to remember your traditions! Now, hold onto your hats...you'll need them with the cold weather here in Greenland anyway but we have a special feature from one of our long lost scrapping crewmembers...yes, our lovely Sara is back! Sara has done a fabulous tutorial on paint cans just in time for Christmas!!
Digital Deck:
On our Digital Deck this month, you will find some awesome ideas! Last month Dyan brought digital, stamping and scrapping all together for a special album she did for her sister. This month is part two of this new way to create gift albums!! Dyan is always coming up with a new and innovative way to use everything we love all together! Ramie has been inspired to create fabulous layouts from ads! Yes, ads! The album that this ad sparked is fabulous!! You'll even get to see some very special layouts of my wonderful little cyber-nephew Aiden!! Yvonne is digitally creating Christmas cards and letters and calendars that are so easy and absolutely fabulous! I don't know what we'd do without the fabulous ideas that the professional designers in our digital deck come up with! After all, we are an internet magazine! We all use our computers for many aspects of our creations!! Just check out the Christmas card to the right if you don't believe me!
Stamping Arts Deck:
Now on to the Stamping Art Deck! Debi's is teaching us all about faux backgrounds. I can tell you that you will learn so much from Debi's informative article and her designs are breathtaking! Judy's book review this month is "Make Spectacular Books Fabulous Fabric, Skewer & Folded Books" by Sue Astroth! The samples that Judy has created using the ideas in Sue's book are just fantastic! Just look to the right to see one of Judy's creations! Next month we will have one more person to introduce to you so keep an eye on this deck for some awesome news to share!
Altered Arts Deck:
Now on to the Altered Arts Deck! Cindy has created her feature this month on faux tile hangers! You can see one of her gorgeous samples to the right! Michaela is remembering Thanksgiving with some fabulous ideas for designing your table to creating gorgeous Thanksgiving gift boxes! Robin is also feeling funky! I sure hope you haven't put your dancing shoes away because we will be dancing the night away each night this month! We have crewmembers who are in need for letting their hair down!! So, get the funk out again and don't miss Robin's fabulously funky altered books!! Sue has been playing with paints and dyes...hmmm...do you get the idea that Sue is may be getting a bit funky too??? Just wait until you see the beautiful artwork Sue has created this month! Wouldn't you just love to visit Sue's house and see all this art in person? I know I would!! I'm thrilled to introduce to you our second brand new crewmember...Sue Shute!! Welcome aboard Sue!! We're so happy to have you join us!! Sue's first feature in her Shabby Suite is all about the Jar of Thanksgiving! Just take a look to the right and you'll see Sue's fantastic jar for yourself!
Communications Deck:
Our Interactive Reader's Gallery! is not just for showcasing your scanned images, its also for your photos and your digital layouts! We want to see everything that you are proud of! So, come on in and share what you are most proud of! We all want to see! The layout featured to the right was created by Art Junkie in response to a special use your stash challenge our moderators were organizing! So, don't be shy...share your ideas with us!! You just never know what we'll feature next or who we'll ask to be a guest designer on SSR!! IT COULD BE YOU!!! The photo gallery is so much fun and filled with fantastic designs...stamped art, digital layouts and scrapped layouts not to mention the photo gallery! You can upload all the designs that you want to share with us ANYTIME you'd like! We have an opportunity to make comments and talk about the products you used and the techniques! You'll want to definitely add this to your favorites and come back often!
Final Thoughts:
Thank you for allowing us to come into your craft rooms and inspire you as you create your own designs. I can't believe we have been here for three years!
