Mòran Taing! This is Gaelic for "Many Thanks"! As we visit Scotland this month we are celebrating our very FIRST Anniversary and the phrase Mòran Taing is very appropriate. Many Thanks to all of you who come back month after month and have made the S.S. Reflections one of the best Stamping and Scrapping online magazines. It's hard to believe it's been ONE year since our initial launch?! What an amazing year it has been and we thought that the best way to celebrate is to pass on the celebrations to YOU!! So, we're having a huge FIRST Anniversary Sail-ebration Contest! All the details for this contest are on the CONTEST page.

We are also hosting our FIRST PHOTO contest in the Mid-November Reader's Gallery! We welcome you to submit your photos to this contest - they can be digital or film - just scan your photo and send it to Dyan at dyancross@ssreflections. We need to have your photo by the 12th of November so that our judges have plenty of time to feature the winner!

If you are a member of the Ezine Yahoo! Group then you can join in this month as we play a round of Bingo, and take part in some fun online classes!

This month as we commemorate our FIRST Anniversary, we are also celebrating a special collaboration with Scrapbook Premier. Scrapbook Premier is the premier trade magazine in the Scrapbooking Industry and they will be providing a special feature each month with industry information straight from the pages of their current issue. We are thrilled have this excellent addition to our magazine and I know you are going to love all the information that they will share with you! This first feature has been written by Kathe Cunningham about getting back to the basics.

Our Celebrity Headliner this month is none other than The Scrapbook Diva! Danielle is single-handedly teaching all of us how to bring out the Diva that is hidden away in ourselves. It is amazing how just putting a tiara on your head can make you feel like royalty! I've had my tiara for several years now and even though I don't wear it every day, it is placed right in front of me directly under my monitor! Danielle has a whole line of products to help bring out the diva in you. I've known Dani for quite a few years now. It's always the highlight of the convention for me to visit and spend time with her, so I'm thrilled to have her on board with us this month!

Our special VIP Lounge guest this month is Celtic Traders! Nancy has been a part of S.S. Reflections for many months now and it is wonderful that we can feature this fine company while visiting Scotland! I really love the unique line of products that Celtic Traders has to offer and it's always nice to know that while we are cruising around the world we can even order our favorite scones from Nancy! Celtic Traders has sent a huge package of products for our First Anniversary Sail-ebration Contest prizes including supplies for all three prize baskets!

Our Designer’s Challenge this month was sponsored by Walnut Hollow. Our professional design crew has created works of art with the Hot Marks tool by Walnut Hollow. The Hot Marks tool was designed with the scrapbooker and paper crafter in mind and you will see lots of different ideas for using this very versatile tool. Cindy Roland created the design on the right. You can click on the image and it will take you directly to the Design Challenge page.

As you know, Cindy Cade won our summer contest and her prize was this awesome t-shirt with the winning logo on the back! You can purchase your own t-shirts or sweatshirts in the Purser's Store! I'm sure you will agree that Cindy looks wonderful in this photo!! We really appreciate Cindy taking the time to model the new shirts for us so that I can share it with you! If t-shirts aren't your thing, don't forget that we also have two different types of tote bags. If you have any special requests, please email us at info@ssreflections.com and we'll see what we can do! To place an order just click on the item of your choice and the pop up window will help you place your order. We are coming into the cooler months now and I can tell you that you'll love the warmth and softness of our sweatshirts! Our sweatshirts are AWESOME and as the weather is starting to turn, now is the time to order one! If any of you are overseas and are interested in a shirt, we do ship internationally! Just send us an email at info@ssreflections.com and we'll get right back to you on the best way to ship.

In The Showcase this month is an interview with Pete DeLuca, Founder and President of Bound 2 Remember. We met Pete at Memory Trends and knew that we had to tell you all about what this fabulous company does! The Stateroom this month is a feature on the Ranger Monochromatic inks that our own Robin Willis has written. Also on our Editorial Deck is Bill who is helping us get over the shakes! Tonya, our advanced digital scrapper, is teaching us about decorative engraved tile alphabets. Tara is getting you started with the HP Creative Scrapbook Assistant software program. Our Tara is getting married this month and we wish her and Lars the very best!!

Dyan is teaching us how to use fonts to make backgrounds for our stamping and scrapping projects! Dean, in the first of a three part series, is helping us design and build our own scrapping craft room. Megan is scrapping All About Me! Sharon our Librarian, is reviewing Where's Thena! I need a poem about... Thena is very well known in the on-line community for writing poems for special occasions and has even written one for SSR back when we visited India! Marlis works very hard to find answers for your questions. This month she is helping you see the "light" and also keeping your papers from falling! Please remember Marlis the next time you are wondering about something!

Cricket has just returned home from her trip visiting Scandinavia and Eastern Europe! With Cricket's absence we have a treat for you! Beverly Hamilton of Stewart Superior has joined us as a very special guest to tell us all about the brand new Metallic Pallette Inks! Now you can actually see these much anticipated inks for yourself right here! Debi is teaching us the direct to paper technique! Cindy is going postal! Ok, she's creating art with postage stamps... Robin and Wendy are talking about a passion that many of us have...paper!! I'm a paper-a-holic myself and I'm very excited about this feature!

This month will be Elizabeth's last article for S.S. Reflections. Elizabeth has had so much going on in her life, and needs some settling down time. This won't be the last you'll see of Elizabeth though, she will be a regular artist in our Reader's Gallery, she will send us some of her wonderful poems to feature, and she will even be a guest when we are in need of someone to fill in on occasion! Her last regular feature, though, is amazing - you won't want to miss her beautiful cigar box purse! Purnima is teaching us about scenic art while we are in beautiful Scotland. Suzanne is going back to templates and teaching us how to use the Coluzzle in our stamp art! Wow!! So much information in one place!! Now, on to the Scrapping Deck...

We have a brand new addition to our Scrapping Crew! Please join us in welcoming Larolin Weisinger! Larolin is an awesome designer and her first feature is about inspiration! Ramie has joined Suzanne featuring the Coluzzle but is using it from the scrappers point of view! Diana is stenciling letters on her layouts! Chrissy is robbing the toolbox to create her layouts! Stacie is tucking away her memories in pocket pages and Laura has done a whole feature using the Hot Marks tool!

Kelli is creating her own background paper! You'll want to keep an eye on our Kelli, she has some amazing things planned for the future that we are very excited about! Wanda is using bleach to create beautiful backgrounds and embellishments. Marilyn has done a wonderful review on various different albumns. If you are overwhelmed with the choices on the market, Marilyn has done the research for you! Cindi is using the same backgrounds we have used in our stamp art for her scrapbook pages and I know you will love her polished stone and faux marble ideas on your pages! Phew! So many wonderful articles that it will take you a month to read them all!!

Our featured art for the Reader's Gallery to the right is by Mary Kerr of Stirlingshire, Scotland! Mary is a regular contributor to our Reader's Gallery and we are honored to feature her on our visit to her fair country.

We are changing our Reader's Gallery slightly by having a sponsored theme starting with the December 1 Gallery. Our first theme will be JEWELRY, sponsored by PennyWise Arts! You'll want to check the Gallery page often as we'll have the themes, sponsors and specific gallery dates listed.

In keeping with our month of celebrations, we are also featuring a very special Reader's Gallery for Mid-November - a photography contest!! Please submit your digital or scanned photo to Dyan Cross by November 12. We have a very special judge lined up with an extra-special prize for the winner! You will even get to "meet" the winner as we'll feature the winner's bio! Also, if you'd like to submit a scan of a piece of jewelry you've created for our December 1 gallery, please send that to Dyan by November 28. We love to showcase all our reader's artwork! Please remember to send us your name and the city/state or country where you live along with a basic list of the products used. We hope to give our advertisers as much exposure in your designs as we can!

Thank you for coming on board our virtual ship as we travel all over the world. We know you will enjoy your trip to Scotland. There is so much to see and learn during our month here so please tell your friends about us! Please visit our advertisers; you can find their banner ads on the pages of our articles or you can find an alphabetical listing on our Making Waves page. Let them know we sent ya and tell them how important they are to you! Without them, there wouldn't be the S.S. Reflections.

Happy Sailing,

Cap'n Dawn
