Dawn Heath - PublisherOur journey this month brings us to South Africa! South Africa is one of the most diverse and enchanting countries in the world. Beautiful, exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture offer a truly unique and inspiring experience.
South Africa’s enormous landscape includes savannahs, snow-covered mountains (SNOW??), forests, tropical swamps, endless beaches, tranquil rivers and… bustling cities. As you read through this issue of S.S. Reflections, our crew has created art showcasing many aspects of South Africa. I hope we can teach you something new this month.
Our Celebrity Headliner this month is Angie Pedersen the author of the “Book of Me”. Angie has been teaching us how to include ourselves in our scrapbooks and how to journal about ourselves and this past February released her second book called “Growing Up Me”.
Our VIP Lounge has a very special guest this month. We are very thrilled to have Suzanne of Penny Wise Art Supplies show us some wonderful ways to use microbeads! Suzanne has been an advertiser with SSR since the beginning, before she really even knew what we were going to be!
We are very proud to announce the launch of Scramping Central (www.scrampingcentral.com). You can now get all the information, ideas, and techniques all from one place! We have a message board for stampers and one for scrappers! Our product reviews for May are on Walnut Ink by Rusty Pickle, we also feature a Project of the Month for both scrappers and stampers (Scrampers!!). You’ll definitely want to bookmark this site and come back often.
We have a very special stamp for our Designer’s Challenge this month. Our very own Cindy Roland designed the stamp!! You can purchase your own Sweet Serenity from Innovative Stamp Creations (http://www.innovativestampcreations). You’ll want to watch for even more stamps designed by Cindy!! Our crew had a ball coming up with different ways to use this beautiful stamp.
There are so many wonderful things happening with this issue of S.S. Reflections. We are now selling the official SSR Deckwear! If you are on our ezine yahoo group then you were very helpful in the decision making process. Thank you so much for your help! You can find our SSR monogrammed wear at the Our Pursers Store. We have 2 different types of tote bags, t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, hats and even an apron to protect your clothes while you are crafting!
Now, I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of the crew. Catherine Lucas is joining us as our Digital Scrapper! You can find her at Catherine's Cyber Cafe! Catherine will teach you how to create your own computer-generated pages with various software programs on the market. She will also do product reviews on printers; scanners and she will also work with Bill our Ship’s Photographer. Please join us in welcoming Catherine!
