Ship's Captain

Thank you for joining us as we continue our virtual journey this month to Brazil! Unfortunately we are too late to celebrate Carnival in Rio de Janeiro but, the spirit of the festival is within all of us aboard the S.S. Reflections! You will find so much wonderful color this month within our pages. Our professional design crew has been very busy creating beautiful designs to inspire you in this edition.

I am very honored to have Zana Clark of Stamp Zia as our Celebrity Headliner this month. I’ve been a great admirer of Zana for a long time and now, I can call her a friend. We have spent hours drinking coffee and brainstorming ideas with my new partner Diane Miller as we created (www.scrampingcentral.com). The ideas and laughter just flow naturally when we are all together!

Our This issue of S.S. Reflections brings on board Joy Knox of Joy Rox Publications to our VIP Lounge. I really enjoy Joy’s sense of humor in her sassy books of sayings and titles! Joy is an accomplished journalist who has been published many times! I am sure Joy will bring a smile to your face!

I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful ideas and techniques to be found in Scramping Central (www.scrampingcentral.com). Our product review for June is on metal hardware, we also feature a Project of the Month for both scrappers and stampers (Scrampers!!). You’ll definitely want to bookmark this site and come back often.

Our Designer’s Challenge this month was sponsored by Kristy at Time to Stamp. Kristy has a very special mask stamp that fit in with our port of call to Brazil perfectly! (http://www.timetostamp.com). I hope you will be inspired by all that our crew created. It's wonderful how many different ways you can use 1 stamp!

I can't wait to go to the next convention that comes into the area and see how many of our readers are wearing their SSR deckwear shirts! If you are interested in purchasing your own SSR shirt you can find our SSR monogrammed wear in our Pursers Store. We have 2 different types of tote bags, t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, hats and even an apron to protect your clothes while you are crafting! We have a brand new Ladies polo shirt that is just lovely and we have changed our shipping from first class mail to Priority Mail. If you are overseas and you'd like your very own SSR shirt, we do ship overseas! Just email us at info@ssreflections.com

We have so many things to tell you about in this issue! We certainly had a lot of fun with metal hardware this month! You will find it throughout the whole issue as both our scrappers and stampers have had a lot of fun playing with it. Our Reader’s Gallery is awesome yet again this month, if you'd like to be in our Reader's Gallery please send us your designs Readers Gallery Submission. We love to showcase all our reader's artwork!

This month we are very proud to have a full page ad in Scrapbook Premier magazine. You can see our ad on page 139, I personally feel its a BEAUTIFUL ad myself but of course, I'm a little biased!! Please visit our advertisers, you can find their banner ads on the pages of our articles or you can find an alphabetical listing on our Making Waves page. Let them know we sent ya and tell them how important they are to you!

Happy Sailing,

Cap'n Dawn
