Twisted Papersby Becky ChabotScrapping Deck Crewmember This review for Twisted Papers products will be my last article here at S.S. Reflections. My decision to leave SSR was not made lightly; I have enjoyed meeting many wonderful new friends and will miss my creative time here but nearly two years has passed and it's time for new adventures and opportunities. A heartfelt “Thank You” goes out to my loyal readers; stay inspired and keep creating. I hope we cross paths again. I have to admit that when I accepted this assignment I was thrilled at the idea of receiving a pile of new and exciting “Twisted Papers” to play with; I had grand day-dreams of cutting and inking. Imagine my disappointment when I received a small parcel that contained 6 CDs of digital images. My dismay soon transformed into delight when I saw the amazing artwork on the Twisted Papers CDs! I had been suffering for something new, different and brilliant and it had finally arrived. **Lesson here: don't judge the art by its packaging. As I opened the CDs, each became more exciting than the last. Every CD was accompanied by a printed thumbnail index which expedited my reaction of “oohs and aaahs.” I received Library of Original Art: Volumes 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Each CD contains between 62 and 73 images. The variety of art contained on each CD is a balanced mix of colors and textures, including florals, fabric style prints, bold graphic and retro patterns as well as collage style compilations. I also received a Vintage Advertisements CD containing 182 Images of ads from the 1890's to the 1920's. All images are provided in both low and high resolution and are formatted for PC and MAC. Here is a hybrid layout I created using many of the designs from these truly amazing Twisted Papers artistic media. ![]() These images can be used for digital layouts as well as paper and hybrid projects. (Hybrid is the latest trend of creating layouts and projects with both digital and dimensional elements.) It's easy to make custom background papers for cards, layouts and paper crafting by printing a file onto bright white cardstock or photo paper, then cutting it for use as you would any decorative paper. My new library of digital art will be a valuable source of creativity for many of my future projects. Scrap on!
