The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

As I mentioned in my last gallery, this past year brought a move to Wyoming. I feel so blessed to be here… it is not only the home of cowboys, but lots of talented and inspiring stampers and scrappers! As I have no knack for bronc riding, I think I’ll stick to stamping. I am enjoying making some of my holiday cards with a touch of the American West.
My first sample, The Most Wonderful Time, features stamps from a variety of companies. The circular verse is from Limited Edition, the snowflakes from Inkadinkado, and the heiroglyph horse is from The Angel Company. The second sample, Beloved, has snowflake and Marion stamps from a rubber plate by Artistic Outpost. “Beloved” is from Inkadinkado.
If you like to make holiday cards, some of them just have to be playful! Retro images and papers lend themselves well to this spirit of fun. In the third and fourth samples, Jolly and Sweet, all of the stamps are by Inkadinkado. The Sweet little cupcakes are made with a punch from Martha Stewart. A touch of pink glitter was used to sugar them up!
The next samples, Joyous and Peace, reflect the warmth that I feel from the Christmas story and what it brings to the here and now. It is easy to get caught up in the mad rush of the season, so I want to cultivate a bit of joy and peace around me. Music, tea and cookies, prayers for Grace, and lots of card making. The stamped images used in both cards are from Artistic Outpost (Mary, “Wishing You Peace”) and Inkadinkado (snowbird, “Joyous”, snowflakes).
My last sample takes a bit of a hip turn on color for a traditional religious theme. White embossed snowflakes on a pink background and a lacey punched edge give a lighter than air feeling to the card. The lovely punch is by Martha Stewart. Stamps are from Artistic Outpost and Inkadinkado.
Whichever holidays you celebrate, whether you are with family and friends or on your own, I wish you lovely times filled with Joy and Peace in the sweet Grace of the season.
