Scrapbooking Christmas Recipesby Michaela RoekleScrapping Deck Crewmember It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The December Christmas Season is upon us and SSR is Merry in Mexico enjoying a “Feliz Navidad” celebration! Some of the traditional aspects of a Mexican Christmas include the LOS POSADAS Candlelight Procession, Poinsettia Decorations and Ensalada de Navidad or Christmas Salad. I looked up that salad recipe and it was definitely unique from any American Christmas salad I’ve ever tried. Christmas can be such a fun time to try new recipes, swap and share recipes with friends, and pass old recipes down through the family. This month I am going to be scrapbooking some recipe card projects to share with you. We can use recipe cards as inserts in larger holiday cards, tags on jar gifts, or page decorations in a family cookbook album. I pulled ideas from two great book resources: “Meals and Memories: How To Create Keepsake Cookbooks by Kathy Steligo” and “Scrapbooking With Recipes” by Better Homes & Gardens. and I received some incredible products from Kodomo Inc. that helped me put together the scrap recipes shown below. I especially love the Snowflake Stamp Set by Kodomo. It is whimsical in design and easy to use with clear acrylic blocks. ![]() ![]() ![]() I challenge you to throw out those boring recipe cards and begin creating your own recipes cards with style! Scrapbooking style! Just be sure to email me pictures of your craft creations. Merry Christmas 2008. See you next year!
