Ship's Captain

Close your eyes and picture the beautiful white sands surrounding Greece, the deep blue waters and the waves lapping gently on the sands... The beautiful landscape with the white houses on the hills, the food...oh the wonderful Greek food and wines as you sit quietly taking in the breaktaking views. What a beautiful summer day with the soft winds from the ocean flowing our white cotten dresses. Thank you for joining us as we continue our virtual journey this month to Greece! Our ship is moored for the month and we're going to enjoy as much as we can of this beautiful country. There is so much to see! We are here too early for the Olympic Games, but the torch will come back to Greece on July 9 and we definately want to see that!

You are going to love our Celebrity Headliner this month! Tim Holtz has come on board for our trip to Greece, you'll probably find him sitting in his favorite adirondack chair enjoying the view on any given day, except of course, when he's busy teaching us new techniques, ideas and regaling us with his silly songs. Tim is telling us all about his Distress Inks and the Adirondack alcohol inks with some fabulous designs to share with you.

Our VIP Lounge guest this month is Aubrey Halverson, Marketing Manager for Wilshire Technologies. This manufacturer has an awesome new product that has come highly recommended to me by Warren and Dee Gruenig of Posh Impressions. When Warren told me about these amazing gloves I just knew it was something you needed to know about! Fortunately I was able to get this information to you right away and you won't want to be without a pair of these gloves!

This month on (Scramping Central) we will be featuring projects and designs using microbeads by Penny Wise Arts. Our design team for Scramping Central have outdone themselves with so many beautiful designs and you'll even recognize some of our own crewmembers on Scramping Central! Chrissy Cooper is the featured artist of the month on the Stamp Club for the project of the month! Mary Garvey is featured as the artist for microbeads in the tips and techniques at the Stamp Club and Martha Myers and Sara Kendrick are featured on Scramping Central showing scrampers different ways to use these awesome microbeads and Mary is featured on the tips and techniques of the Stamp Club so you will get so many different ideas on how to use your microbeads.

Our Designer’s Challenge this month was sponsored by Suzanne of Penny Wise Arts. Suzanne was featured in the May issue in our VIP Lounge! We love Suzanne's micro beads and feature designs by our very own Bead Queen in the Reader's Gallery often! Now you'll have the opportunity to see what our very own professional design crew can do! The crew had a blast playing with these microbeads! So, sit back and enjoy all the great ideas. You can also read Dyan's article on Penny Wise Arts in her column this month, Dyan's Shipboard Romance, and I can tell you, we are all in love with these beads!

If you are a member of our ezine list, or receive our bi-monthly newsletters then you are aware that we had a special t-shirt contest! We are always looking for ways to improve and one idea that was suggested is having fun t-shirts with the SSR logo on them. So, we held a contest with the ezine yahoo list and we received 27 suggestions! Our winner is Cindy Cade from Ohio!!! Cindy's winning quote is: Sailing the ARTic seas with SSReflections I've asked Cindy to tell us a little about herself so that we can feature her on the ezine! BTW, Cindy is also receiving a t-shirt with her quote on it!!

" I have been actively stamping for nearly a decade. After searching for "my" talent, I finally realized I am and always have been a designer. Creating is what I do best. I have taught online for companies such as The Red Castle, Innovative Stamp Creations, Evolving Images, Circus Stamps, Enchanted Ink, Olive Wimple, The Stampsmith, Rubber Trouble, Hearts In Touch, Stubby Stampers, Ma Vinci's Reliquary and I can't recall beyond that. The many friends I have made due to this hobby is overwhelming. Y'all are the best medicine in the world."

Creatively,
Cindy Cade

Thank you Cindy! Thank you for coming on board the S.S. Reflections! BTW, if any of you are overseas and are interested in a shirt, we do ship overseas! Just send us an email at info@ssreflections.com and we'll get right back to you on the best way to ship.
