As we leave the beautiful shores of Nova Scotia and work our way along the East Coast we are struck by the beautiful scenery of the United States coast. The weather has been wonderful for this time of the year, we've had such a wonderful cruise south. As beautiful as Nova Scotia is it's wonderful to see the waving palm trees and the beautiful beaches as we arrive in Florida. We won't be here for long though, we're heading off to the Caribbean during this month too! So, get out your camera and claim your favorite deck chair and be prepared for some beautiful sites to see as we scramp on deck with the sun shining down on us! Of course, we'll need to get the snorkel out, or parasail at some point. After all, we'll want to make more memories for our albums and to inspire our muse! We will dance under the moonlight in Jamaica, walk along the beautiful beaches and picnic in little alcoves. What an exciting month this will be!

We had so many beautiful submissions to our January photo contest! The judges had such a difficult time, but that didn't surprise me... I knew that the reader's of SSR would send in the BEST photos!! ***VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION for the February Digital Layout contest: Keep your layout in the original pixel size that you created it in on your hard drive, we will need this size file if you win the February contest for reproduction on the contest. BUT, please resize the layout to 475 pixels (longest side) for submitting to the contest. We need it in a much smaller size for the magazine. So, you'll have 2 sizes for your layout. Both are important! Our email box can't handle very large files. We need to have your submissions sent to editorialsubmission@ssreflections.com with your permission to publish and print your submission. Please also include your name, address, phone number and products used, ie: camera used, products used, etc.

Our Communications Officer, Joe, has been doing a great job with his product reviews, sharing his art and keeping up some fun conversation on both the Ezine Yahoo! Group and the Ezine Message Board!
This month's Celebrity Headliner is Nancy Hill of Die Cuts With A View. Nancy is one of the busiest people in the industry. I'm blown away by all that Nancy has accomplished and it's a great privilege to have Nancy join us for our cruise! Nancy just returned from a scrapbooking convention in Germany, she's been taping a TV special for PBS and all of this is just before CHA! Silly me, I thought I was busy! Nancy started Die Cuts With a View in her basement 10 years ago as a sideline business. Now Nancy has 150 employees!
Julie Creek of Scrapbook Premier has written a feature on Brads. Brads are one of the most under rated embellishments used by the scramper and two of our crewmembers have provided a couple of beautiful cards just for this feature! Brads have a rounded or shaped top with 2 flat prongs extending to the underside. To use brads simply mark where you want to place your brads with a pencil, and then pierce your paper. (Paper piercers make this job fast and easy.) Place the brad prongs through the hole. Once the prongs are through the hole spread the prongs apart and lay them flat against the back of your paper.

Frances Naeve has a heart of gold and in my opinion her company is aptly named. The SSR crew have created a bunch of designs to show you just how versatile Frances stamps are. We just know you are going to love everything we have to show you in the VIP Lounge this month! The stamped bottle displayed to the right was created by our own Suzanne Saupe!
Transfer Ink! Yes, you got it...our Designer’s Challenge this month was sponsored by Stewart Superior! The crew have created some beautiful work using the Transfer Ink by Stewart Superior. Now to tell you what is on our Editorial Deck! In The Stateroom has an extra special feature this month. We are showcasing the Loersch Corporation. If you are plastic slide mounts and designer tiles they probably came from Loersch! Dean has been bringing us tips and plans for a year now! Dean hasn't let us down this month either, he seems to have my desk in mind as he helps us organize what is near and dear to me...my desk! Megan is encouraging us to get back to what is important to our scrapping...journaling. Sharon, our Librarian, reviewing "Designing with Kinetics" by Valerie Brincheck, Michelle Forster & Mark Hawkins Marlis has a special review on CHA that you won't want to miss! Please remember Doc Marlis the next time you have a question about something craft related!
Our Digital Suite this month includes brings back an old friend of SSR. The Showcase welcomes back Trish Bayley as a special guest this month! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have Trish come on board this month, Trish is an expert web designer and she has written a special tutorial on how to size your images for online publication. Bill has written a tutorial teaching how to add special effect lighting to your photos. Tonya and Tara have both been creating beautiful kaleidescopes for their scrapbook pages! They have both done a separate review on the Kaleidescope Kreator software we read all about last month. Dyan is creating her own hand print fonts using the Font Creator v. 4.5 software!
Now on to the Stamping Deck starting with our Stamping Cruise Director; Cindy is in the mood for LOVE! You won't want to miss her beautiful valentines! Cricket has done a feature creating cards using stickers. Debi has some awesome ideas for using up those paper scraps! If you don't believe me, check out the card to the right, it was created by Debi! Robin and Wendy are having fun with tags, actually I'd call it TAGMANIA! Cindy Cade seems to be in the mood for romance too...we'll just chalk it up to love! Andi actually cleaned her studio and was completely torn up by it! Fortunately for us, it inspired her muse! Suzanne is inspiring us with all these fun items she's FOUND! Uh oh, I can hear my muse waking up now!! Lori is in love too...gosh, what is it about this month that makes everyone fall in love? Lori is in love with Ephemera...I can't wait to meet this special guy!!! (wink) Purnima's muse is running amok! Purnima has been busy playing with cards! We don't mind though, we're just very happy to have Purnima back. We've really missed her!
Now on to the Scrapping Deck! We'll start with Ramie our Scrapping Cruise Director; Ramie is teaching the beginner scrappers how to use borders, edges and toppers to tie in your pages. Laura our co-Scrapping Cruise Director is creating texture with Delta Texture Magic. Sara Kendrick is BACK! Sara was with us when we launched and is BACK!! She and Diana are going to be sharing The Radio Room now as both of these wonderful ladies have very busy schedules! Sara's first feature for the Radio Room is about using office supplies in your scrapping! Please join us in welcoming Sara back home! By the way, the design to the right is by Sara...seems she's in LOVE too! Chrissy is sharing the love with some beautiful sweetheart pages. Stacie is creating with rub ons! Kelli altering alphabets to add pizzazz to your scrapbook pages! Marilyn teaching you how to get your pictures on the pages, just start it simply! Cindi is adding beads, buttons and baubles to her pages and they are GORGEOUS! Larolin is scrapping with numbers! All sorts of numbers! Background papers, titles, and as embellishments!
